Conservatives Energized!

No Better Choice for Pro Family Issues!

Senator John McCain could not have made a better choice for his Vice Presidential pick! Governor Sarah Palin a staunch pro life, pro family and pro marriage supporter! Governor Palin has been married for 20 years and is the mother of 5 children. She is not afraid to stand for what is right even if she sands alone. Her record proves this. Pro family groups are breathing a sigh of relief after the announcement today! As I listened to her speak, I realized how hopeless I had been feeling about the political experts double guessing all the politically expedient choices Senator McCain should make for a running mate. However, as I listened to his surprise choice speak, I felt hope well up in me, and a renewed excitement over this excellent choice. I can sense excitement as email floods in with people who stand for life, who are ready to get off the bench and get back into the game! I took mental notes, and here is what I discovered...
What does she bring to the table?
She is...
Pro Life
Pro Marriage
Conservative
Pro-Domestic Oil Exploriation
A woman
Lifetime NRA member
Fights corruption within her own party
Outside Washington Beltway
Governing experience

Here are some comments made by pro family leaders across the United States. I applaud Senator McCain for his choice for Vice President of the United States!

Washington, D.C. -- Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America (CWA), released the following statement in response to Senator John McCain's choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate: "Governor Palin will change the dynamics of the entire presidential race. Her admirable record of confronting corruption and living her pro-life convictions shows she is a doer, not just a talker. Sarah Palin will make history as a vice presidential candidate - and not simply because she's a woman, but because she's a woman of substance and character." Janice Shaw Crouse, director and senior fellow of CWA's Beverly LaHaye Institute, said, "It is particularly significant that a conservative woman was nominated for the nation's second highest office. For years the feminist movement has acknowledged for leadership only those women who embrace a radical agenda. How refreshing that now we have a woman who reflects the values of mainstream American women. Sarah Palin is pro-life, pro-marriage and pro-family. She is a woman who is balancing the personal and professional in admirable ways. She is an outstanding woman who will be an excellent role model for the nation's young people. Sarah Palin is chief among equals with American professional women; she brings the kind of balance that characterizes the high-achieving women of today. She will bring to the forefront of our cultural conversations an intelligent, realistic, well-grounded woman's perspective." Crouse concluded: "Take that feminists -- here is a woman of accomplishment who brings a fresh face to traditional values and models the type of woman most girls want to become."

Minneapolis, MN - "Absolutely brilliant," Mathew Staver exclaimed when he heard the news that Sen. John McCain chose Governor Sarah Palin as his choice for Vice President. Staver is Chairman of Liberty Alliance Action, Chairman of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law.*

Rep. Jackie Walorski, R- Elkhart: "This is a brilliant move by Sen. McCain. It is about time that the Republicans at the national level include a conservative woman who is not a national insider."This selection confirms that McCain is not about business as usual. Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are proven change makers. I believe this shows that he is serious about winning the election."
