The real hate speech

Janet Folger exposes the truth about hate crimes. The real crime comes from homosexuals working to stifle freedom of speech. If the constitutional right of freedom of speech is allowed to be trampled on, everyone will suffer.

Bush grants presidency extraordinary powers

Order for emergencies apparently gives authority without congressional oversightIt seems that soon George Bush will gain total control over the United States government. There are lots of stories about this floating around the internet, but not nearly enough concern.President Bush has signed an executive order granting extraordinary powers to the office of the president in the event of a declared national emergency, apparently without congressional approval or oversight. The order was signed May 9 without any announcement, says Jerome R. Corsi in a WND column. Titled, "National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive," it was issued with the dual designation of NSPD-51, as a National Security Presidential Directive, and HSPD-20, as a Homeland Security Presidential Directive. The order establishes under the office of the president a new national continuity coordinator whose job is to make plans for "National Essential Functions" of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments, as well as private sector organizations to continue functioning under the president's directives in the event of a national emergency. "Catastrophic emergency" is loosely defined as "any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions."

Old Mitt, new Mitt, red Mitt, blue Mitt

While Rudy Giuliani cheers and John McCain smiles next to Sen. Ted Kennedy for a Senate amnesty photo-op, Flip Romney talks tough about illegal immigration – a departure from his 2005 position when he said a similar proposal was "reasonable." What a shock. Pick a subject, any subject, and the new-and-improved, rosy red-state Romney is a

Jerry Falwell: Say hello to Ronald Reagan!

Despite venomous attacks and overwhelming pressure to adopt the fashionable beliefs of cafe society, Falwell never wavered an inch in acknowledging Jesus before men. Luckily, Jesus' full sentence, quoted at the beginning of this column is: "All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved."

Pride isn't a parade

When homosexuals go to far. The homosexual lobby and those in power in the U.S. House of Representatives made a mistake. They made a strategic error that cost them greatly. Oh, don't get me wrong; the liberal Democrats did a good job (teaming up with the media) convincing 19 million Christians to stay home last November. They did a good job pretending that stupid move would send some kind of "message" to Congress. All it did was hand the reigns of power to people who hate us and want to outlaw our beliefs. Their deception worked. But what didn't work is ... their pride. What they don't know is that pride isn't a parade; rather, pride goeth before a fall. One couldn't miss the arrogance of those in power at the congressional hearing on hate crimes. John Conyers, Sheila Jackson Lee and their cohorts treated witnesses like Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute and those who stood for freedom of speech with disdain. The Democrats didn't even pretend to run things in an even-handed way. Stacking their witnesses while limiting ours, they grandstanded their agenda, gavel in hand. They had the votes. They had the power. And they were going to flaunt it. Color me surprised.

Time for a Revolution; Families taking back our Country!

This recent Declaration from Poland Caught my eye. By the end of the document, I could not sit as I read the words! We need a Revolution, and we need one quickly. In my 32 years, enjoying the Freedoms of this blessed nation, I wonder to myself... "How could we hand over our freedoms and keys to our families. Then it hit me. They take our freedom through our children. If they teach our children tolerance, and the "new agenda" They have won the battle. Michael Chapman compares this to the Trojan Horse. Only instead of an army of humans, inside this Trojan Horse are ideas and philosophies. They have our families, and we need to reclaim them! Read this Declaration for the families!
WARSAW DECLARATION
of theWorld Congress of Families IV
Warsaw, May 11-13, 2007

We the participants of the World Congress of Families IV commit ourselves to protect the Truth about the family, recalling its natural essence as a community of love and life, one bearing inalienable rights as it is written in the Charter of the Family Rights. [1]
The natural family, creation of God, is the fundamental human community, based on the life long marriage between a man and a woman, in which new individuals are conceived, born, and raised. [2]
"The future of humanity passes by way of the family" [3] and "there is no more efficient way for the rebirth of the society than its rebirth through healthy families" [4] that are faithful to their conjugal and parental vocations.
Such families bring to the world today:
Faithfulness to the Divine Truth versus relativism;
Real love, being the complete and impartial gift of oneself versus hedonism;
Faithfulness in love throughout life versus lack of responsibility toward those closest to us;
Respect for the life of every human being from conception to natural death versus discrimination against and extermination of the weakest;
Joyful responsibility for every child-to-be, versus fear of the child expressed in the contraceptive mentality;
A moral community in which young generations can grow versus false ideologies propagating demoralization;
And, last but not least, the "springtime" of a civilization of love and life versus "demographic winter."
We are thankful for all religious communities which affirm these truths. Meeting in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, the motherland of Pope John Paul II, we especially thank God for this Pope's teachings about the Divine Intention towards marriage and family, love within families, and the protection of life, and for his prayers and suffering offered toward those ends.
And we thank his successor, Pope Benedict XVI, who continues to witness to the Truth about life and the family.
We thank all of those who serve the family and protect it.
We thank every caring family as a real sign of hope in the modern world.
We thank all spouses, fathers, and mothers who keep on loving and caring for each child.
We therefore call for:
Churches and other Religious Communities to proclaim the truth about life, marriage, and the family, affirming the latter as the first community of faith and the school of all vocations.
We call for all governing and political bodies to mainstream the family in public policy as a fundamental and inalienable social good, in order to serve their own nations. We call on them to protect every human being from conception to natural death, to stress the upbringing of children as the fundamental right of parents, to protect young people against demoralization, and to promote economic solutions that provide dignified living conditions to all families. Let the sequel to this call be to proclaim the year 2008 - the Year of the Family.
We call for all academics of good will to place their knowledge at the service of the family.
We ask health professionals to uphold freedom of conscience and to faithfully safeguard human life, especially when it is weakest and most threatened.
We ask journalists to serve the truth, to remain objective, to reveal the real threats and needs of the family, and to offer young people positive values which build sustainable human development.
We ask young people to seek wisdom, to choose life, to preserve their hearts and body, and to grow with a focus on truth and faithful love. We ask all people of good will to be at one with families and to help them restore hope and bring concrete assistance when difficulties occur. Let us pour special friendship on parents who love their children.
And finally, we who are gathered at the World Congress of Families IV call upon all families in the world to: "Be not afraid!" Let us be as one! Let us be the sign of hope! Let us encourage each other and bring happiness and joy!
Let us inspire hope in all human beings, enabling them to contribute to the "springtime" of Europe and of the world: we commit ourselves to this beautiful task.
Footnotes
1 Charter of the Rights of the Family, presented by the Holy See to all persons, institutions and authorities concerned with the mission of the family in today's world October 22, 1983
2 The family "is the first and fundamental structure for "human ecology," in which man receives his first formative ideas about truth and goodness, and learns what it means to love and to be loved." The family is also the "sanctuary of life," the place in which life—the gift of God—can be properly welcomed and protected against the many attacks to which it is exposed, and can develop in accordance with what constitutes authentic human growth. In the face of the so-called culture of death, the family is the heart of the culture of life"—(Centesimus annus, 39).

Lawmakers team up against 'evil'

Lawmakers gather to speak of protecting civilizations corner stone, the Family.Inspired by a global gathering of family activists who issued a declaration urging courage, a group of European politicians wasted no time as they huddled before the conference ended to strategize on how they can join forces to overcome the continent's "demographic winter" and "promote life" in the face of fierce opposition. The fourth World Congress of Families concluded in Poland's capital today after some of the more than 3,300 delegates from 75 countries heard an address prepared by the Vatican's Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family, who warned "the situation that has been created in our world with regard to marriage and the family calls for all our efforts." "We are living in a decisive and very important moment," Trujillo declared in remarks delivered by Fr. Grzegorz Kaszak because the Vatican official was called back to Rome. "If we have bad laws concerning the institutions that are fundamental for the life of society, then we will all suffer and, after us, the generations to come." That's why more than 30 members of national parliaments and the European Parliament, along with a few activists from nongovernmental groups, met Saturday at Poland's Senate to compare notes, share strategies and draft a plan to help preserve the "natural" family. Murdoch pastor gets heat for mogul's porn channels

Mega-pastor Rick Warren is being challenged by other Christian leaders for not disciplining a prominent member of his California Saddleback Church flock for being one of the world's leading pornographers. That would be Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corp., which, in addition to building a media empire on the chests of topless models and edgy, pushing-the-envelope Fox TV network shows, recently began building a stable of hard-core porn channels for its BSkyB subsidiary. "Rupert Murdoch is a born-again Christian and Rick Warren claims to be his pastor," says Chris Rosebrough, head of the Christian Accountability Network. "As a Christian, Murdoch is committing an egregious sin by owning, expanding and profiting from pornographic channels, and Rick Warren, his pastor, has a biblical duty to call Murdoch to repentance and/or put him out of the church."

ABC News ... all the Fiction fit to print.

Back in the days when I ran major-market daily newspapers for a living, I remember looking around a newsroom of around 200 people and coming to a startling conclusion. I knew these people pretty well. I worked with them every day. And it occurred to me that I was the only one who regularly attended church, worshipped God, prayed and read the Bible. Not much has changed in America's newsrooms since then, I explain in my new book, "Stop The Presses! The Inside Story of the New Media Revolution." Maybe the situation is even a little worse. I give you this background as a prelude to a story about evangelicals reported last week by ABC News. Now I've been an evangelical for a long time, so you can imagine my surprise to learn that until recently my fellow believers did not support adoption! I'm shocked. I'm appalled. I'm stunned. That's what ABC News reported. "Now there are evangelicals speaking out on global warming and supporting adoption," reported Bill Redeker. "Neither would have been endorsed only a few years ago." Where on Earth did ABC News ever come up with the idea that evangelicals did not support adoption? If not Earth, which planet?

Hello, Just wanted to chat with someone about how you can influence an elected official.

My personal experience has been that a personal letter, phone call, or a visit to the state house to voice your opinion about a bill. Locally, you can help in other ways.

I did not get involved until I was asked. I started by volunteering to help with a campaign, phone calls, posting signs, then I asked the elected official who was running, "who is praying for you?" and that started our Friday morning prayer times.

I would love to talk to someone about the results, and how exciting it was to see God answer prayer.

US and EU integration?

President Bush signed an agreement creating a "permanent body" that commits the U.S. to "deeper transatlantic economic integration," without ratification by the Senate as a treaty or passage by Congress as a law. The "Transatlantic Economic Integration" between the U.S. and the European Union was signed April 30 at the White House by Bush, German Chancellor Angela Merkel – the current president of the European Council – and European Commission President José Manuel Barroso. The document acknowledges "the transatlantic economy remains at the forefront of globalization," arguing that the U.S. and the European Union "seek to strengthen transatlantic economic integration." The agreement established a new Transatlantic Economic Council to be chaired on the U.S. side by a cabinet-level officer in the White House and on the EU side by a member of the European Commission. The current U.S. head of the new Transatlantic Economic Council is Allan Hubbard, assistant to the president for Economic Policy and director of the National Economic Council. The current EU head of the council is Günther Verheugen, vice-President of the European Commission in charge of enterprise and industry.
