Smithson, a homosexual, murdered Shephard after slipping him GHB, a date rape drug, then hid the body in the basement of his home.

Diane Gramley, president of the American Family Association of Pennsylvania, says it is ironic that homosexuals used the murder ten years ago of Matthew Shepherd to push for hate crimes laws -- yet remain largely silent about the murder of Jason Shephard.

"[It's] a true double standard, because Jason Shephard's murder has been under the radar screen -- and basically, unless you're in Pennsylvania monitoring this kind of stuff, you don't hear about it," says Gramley. "But Matthew Shepherd? Everyone in the country knows who Matthew Shepherd is."

Gramley points out homosexual activists claim Matthew Shepherd was targeted because he was homosexual. But ABC News later revealed that Matthew Shepherd was the victim of a botched robbery -- a finding the media has largely ignored.

The Pennsylvania activist wonders where the outrage is from homosexuals over the 2006 murder. In a press release, she describes the silence from that community as "deafening."

"The murders of both Matthew Shepherd and Jason Shephard were tragic, but one murder is being used by homosexual activists to push their agenda of special rights," she states. "Murder is murder and increased penalties for attacking a specially protected group listed in a hate crimes law is a waste of everyone's time and resources. Such a law creates unequal protection under the law."

She cites two other murders committed by homosexual men that met with relative silence in the homosexual community -- the murder of 13-year-old Jesse Dirkhising in Arkansas in 1999, and the 2002 murder of Mary Stachowicz in Chicago.

Demented Homeschooling?

So we now are listening to Joy from "The View" and her ideas on homeschooling? Not only is our nation in grave danger, according to the Word of God, so are you.

First the facts on life: On July 17, 2007, Barack Obama spoke to Planned Parenthood and said:

"On this fundamental issue of [abortion rights], I will not yield and Planned Parenthood will not yield....The first thing I'll do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That's the first thing that I'd do.... " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pf0XIRZSTt8

And what is the "Freedom of Choice Act"? It would completely federalize the abortion issue and strike down all state laws from parental notification to the Woman’s Right to Know Laws, to bans on partial birth abortion declaring them null and void with the stroke of and Obama pen.

In one week America will make a choice. And to those who call themselves “Christian” who are planning on voting for Barack Obama, put down the Obama talking points and read God’s voter guide before you go to the polls:

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;” Deuteronomy 30:19

But you think this issue doesn’t matter? God felt so strongly about it that he carved it in stone:

“You shall not murder.” Exodus 20:13

Think you can love God and still vote against life? In John 14:15, Jesus said:

“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Yes, and “Thou shall not murder,” made the top ten.

Barack Obama and many of his followers claim to be Christian. But Isaiah 29:13 says:

“Therefore the Lord said: ‘Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,’” Isaiah 29:13

And Matthew 7:20:

“Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.” Matthew 7:20

Knowing that, here’s another command from Proverbs 31:8:

“Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die.”

To you who are pretending that you don’t know this, Proverbs 24:11 speaks directly to you:
“Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die;
Save them as they stagger to their death.

Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.”
For God understands all hearts, and he sees you.

He who guards your soul knows you knew.
He will repay all people as their actions deserve.”
Proverbs 24:11

It’s not just about “hope” and “change,” Proverbs 6:16-22 states there are some things that God hates.

These six things the LORD hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

Obama/Biden are pro-death. McCain/Palin are pro-life.

Now choose life that you and your children may live.

On marriage, Mark 10:7 reveals what Jesus had to say about it:

“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,”

Notice, the man doesn’t leave his father and mother to be joined to his domestic partner. In his October 22, 2008 WorldNetDaily column, Matt Barber outlined Obama’s position on marriage:

In 2004, Obama called DOMA (the Defense of Marriage Act) an "abhorrent law" and said, "The repeal of DOMA is essential. … For the record," he continued, "I opposed DOMA in 1996. It should be repealed and I will vote for its repeal on the Senate floor. I will also oppose any proposal to amend the U.S. Constitution to ban gays and lesbians from marrying." Obama also came out earlier this year in favor of the May 15 California Supreme Court decision that unilaterally redefined natural marriage in that state to include same-sex duos. "I want to congratulate all of you who have shown your love for each other by getting married these last few weeks," Obama gushed. Despite assurances otherwise, these are not the words or policies of a man who opposes "same-sex marriage."

No, this election is not about race. It’s not about the economy, it’s about obeying God.

Even Martin Luther King Junior said it’s not about race:

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” --Martin Luther King Junior

To those who call themselves by the name of Christ who ignore what God says about life and marriage who and are clinging to a fantasy of economic gain, think again.

Obama will use your tax dollars to kill innocent children, and then he’ll take your paycheck and use it to “spread the wealth around.” Don’t believe me? Don’t believe Joe the Plummer? Hear Barack Obama for yourself in an 2001 interview about his goal to try what the Soviets proved does not work.

This is not a discussion of whether or not to redistribute the wealth; it’s a discussion of HOW Obama wants to do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iivL4c_3pck The transcript is below.

Be forewarned, if you willfully disobey God on life and marriage because of race or false hope for the economy, you will usher in the kind of change that brought the Soviet Union to collapse.

But the warning goes far beyond that. To those who think that God’s grace gives them license to willfully disobey Him without consequences. Think again:

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21-23

That deals with your eternity. Matthew 7:26-27 says if you don’t obey God, prepare for a crash even sooner that that:

“But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” Matthew 7:26-27

I just hope you won’t take the rest of the nation with you.

If the word of God matters more to you than your perception of personal gain, Joel 2:12 issues a call to repentance I pray you will heed:

“Now, therefore,” says the LORD, ‘Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.’” Joel 2:12

Then obey Him in the voting booth and out of it. If not, do us all a favor and quit calling yourself a Christian.

Voter guides can be found at www.f2a.org

Obama’s Redistribution of Wealth transcript is below:

MODERATOR: Good morning and welcome to Odyssey on WBEZ Chicago 91.5 FM and we’re joined by Barack Obama who is Illinois State Senator from the 13th district and senior lecturer in the law school at the University of Chicago.

OBAMA: If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court, I think where it succeeded was to vest formal rights in previously dispossessed peoples. So that I would now have the right to vote, I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order and as long as I could pay for it I’d be okay.

But the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth and sort of more basic issues of political and economic justice in this society. And to that extent as radical as people tried to characterize the Warren court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted, and the Warren court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can’t do to you, it says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf. And that hasn’t shifted. One of the I think tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributed change and in some ways we still suffer from that.

MODERATOR: Let’s talk with Karen. Good morning, Karen, you’re on Chicago Public Radio.

KAREN: Hi. The gentleman made the point that the Warren court wasn’t terribly radical with economic changes. My question is, is it too late for that kind of reparative work economically and is that that the appropriate place for reparative economic work to take place – the court – or would it be legislation at this point?

OBAMA: Maybe I’m showing my bias here as a legislator as well as a law professor, but I’m not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts. The institution just isn’t structured that way.

You just look at very rare examples during the desegregation era the court was willing to for example order changes that cost money to a local school district. The court was very uncomfortable with it. It was very hard to manage, it was hard to figure out. You start getting into all sorts of separation of powers issues in terms of the court monitoring or engaging in a process that essentially is administrative and takes a lot of time.

The court’s just not very good at it and politically it’s very hard to legitimize opinions from the court in that regard. So I think that although you can craft theoretical justifications for it legally. Governor Sarah Palin a staunch pro life, pro family and pro marriage supporter! Governor Palin has been married for 20 years and is the mother of 5 children. She is not afraid to stand for what is right even if she sands alone. Her record proves this. Pro family groups are breathing a sigh of relief after the announcement today! As I listened to her speak, I realized how hopeless I had been feeling about the political experts double guessing all the politically expedient choices Senator McCain should make for a running mate. However, as I listened to his surprise choice speak, I felt hope well up in me, and a renewed excitement over this excellent choice. I can sense excitement as email floods in with people who stand for life, who are ready to get off the bench and get back into the game! I took mental notes, and here is what I discovered...
What does she bring to the table?
She is...
Pro Life
Pro Marriage
Conservative
Pro-Domestic Oil Exploriation
A woman
Lifetime NRA member
Fights corruption within her own party
Outside Washington Beltway
Governing experience

Here are some comments made by pro family leaders across the United States. I applaud Senator McCain for his choice for Vice President of the United States!

Washington, D.C. -- Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America (CWA), released the following statement in response to Senator John McCain's choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate: "Governor Palin will change the dynamics of the entire presidential race. Her admirable record of confronting corruption and living her pro-life convictions shows she is a doer, not just a talker. Sarah Palin will make history as a vice presidential candidate - and not simply because she's a woman, but because she's a woman of substance and character." Janice Shaw Crouse, director and senior fellow of CWA's Beverly LaHaye Institute, said, "It is particularly significant that a conservative woman was nominated for the nation's second highest office. For years the feminist movement has acknowledged for leadership only those women who embrace a radical agenda. How refreshing that now we have a woman who reflects the values of mainstream American women. Sarah Palin is pro-life, pro-marriage and pro-family. She is a woman who is balancing the personal and professional in admirable ways. She is an outstanding woman who will be an excellent role model for the nation's young people. Sarah Palin is chief among equals with American professional women; she brings the kind of balance that characterizes the high-achieving women of today. She will bring to the forefront of our cultural conversations an intelligent, realistic, well-grounded woman's perspective." Crouse concluded: "Take that feminists -- here is a woman of accomplishment who brings a fresh face to traditional values and models the type of woman most girls want to become."

Minneapolis, MN - "Absolutely brilliant," Mathew Staver exclaimed when he heard the news that Sen. John McCain chose Governor Sarah Palin as his choice for Vice President. Staver is Chairman of Liberty Alliance Action, Chairman of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law.*

Rep. Jackie Walorski, R- Elkhart: "This is a brilliant move by Sen. McCain. It is about time that the Republicans at the national level include a conservative woman who is not a national insider."This selection confirms that McCain is not about business as usual. Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin are proven change makers. I believe this shows that he is serious about winning the election."

Friday, August 29, 2008From: Gary L. This selection is a grand slam home run! Sarah Palin is conservative. She is pro-family. I am so glad there are still Legislators, and people in leadership positions who still "Get it"... Now the million dollar question; "Hoosiers... what are we going to do about it"? Are we going to follow the crowd like lambs to slaughter... or are we going to make a statement to those in office that we DO NOT want their kind of change!

It's been fascinating to watch and listen to the Presidential candidates talk about "change". Barack Obama is basing his entire campaign on "change". I'm not sure if he's talking about "change" for the sake of "change" or what, because he's never really spelled out what exactly he would do to "change" anything in this country. But, it's equally interesting to read the editorials of several newspapers around Indiana. In Northern Indiana, the newspaper tone has been instructing it's faithful readers to "embrace change" and to vote against Hoosier incumbents in November. Is that "change" for the sake of "change"? As a legislator, I've been involved in helping move Indiana forward in many areas. Indiana now leads the Midwest in job creation, we have our own "Big 3" auto makers, employing thousands of Hoosiers. Our State has gone from bankrupt to having a cash balance on hand. We went from one of the worst child abuse States to one of the best in child protection. These "changes" weren't easy.In fact, many Hoosiers say the "changes" in Indiana have been too many and too quick. Yet, on Tuesday millions of Hoosiers voted for "change" at the national level. If, in Indiana, "change" has meant to make government smaller, create jobs, get tough on child abuse and reform an archaic tax system...and it hasn't been popular...what are Hoosiers voting for that will be popular? The only logical answer is that there is a ground swell of Hoosiers that have decided they want what the Presidential candidates are promising: bigger government with lots of new entitlement programs; higher taxes on hard working, middle class Hoosiers; escalating gas and food prices; socialized medicine which devalues quality care; all delivered with a huge smile that says, "you asked for it...you got it"!
State Representative Jackie Walorski
http://www.jackiewalorski.com/

Too little Too Late

Parents urged to boycott homosexual indoctrination'Day of Silence' in schools 'about coercing students to repudiate traditional morality'--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Posted: March 08, 200811:15 pm EasternBy Bob Unruh© 2008 WorldNetDaily What if homosexual rights advocates staged a huge promotional event and no one came to see it? That's exactly what a coalition of organizations is proposing for April 25, this year's "Day of Silence," which is sponsored in public schools across the nation."It's outrageous that our neighborhood schools would allow homosexual activism to intrude into the classroom," said Buddy Smith of the American Family Association, one of a long list of organizations asking parents to keep their students home from school on that day."'Day of Silence' is about coercing students to repudiate traditional morality. It's time for Christian parents to draw the line – if your children will be exposed to this DOS propaganda in their school, then keep them home for the day," he said. The "Day of Silence" promotion is intended, ostensibly, to make students "aware" of the "discrimination" suffered by homosexuals in society, by having students remain silent for the day. Such events typically are organized by a school's "Gay-Straight Alliance" group, but the event has been promoted for its previous 11 years by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, an organization with the agenda of establishing homosexual advocacy organizations such as GSAs in all schools in the nation.

read more | digg story

New Light bulbs can poison you

The EPA says breakage of the energy-saving, mercury-containing CFLs can cause health hazards.

read more | digg story

Victory~ Hate Crimes dies in the House!

On Tuesday night, HB 1076, the Hate Crimes bill authored by Representative Greg Porter died in the House! Thanks to two pro-life amendments from Representative Jackie Walorski, and Representative Jeff Thompson. Because of these amendments, Representative Porter was afraid to call them down for consideration.

The Associated press wrote the following; "Porter said he objected to an amendment filed by Rep. Jackie Walorski, R-Lakeville, that would add viable fetuses to groups covered under the legislation. He said he also objected to an amendment by Rep. Jeffrey Thompson, R-Lizton, that would have removed sexual orientation from the bill.
Porter said Walorski's amendment was simply an anti-abortion measure, and removing sexual orientation would make the bill less inclusive by removing gays and lesbians from groups covered by the bill.
Walorski said her amendment was a "pro life" measure, and said viable fetuses were worthy of being added to the bill. She also said when she and her fellow Republicans were in the majority, she never decided against calling a bill down because she was afraid of proposed amendments.
She said Porter was in charge of the bill, so he was killing it by not calling it down for consideration.
Thompson said he was against hate crimes legislation in general because crimes were based on thought and should be treated equally. He also said he believed that homosexuality was largely a lifestyle of choice and was harmful.
We are so thankful for these two courageous Legislators for filing these amendments that turned out to be the death of this dangerous bill. We will still remain vigilant. Although it is dead in the House, there are still measures that can be taken to revive this bill. We will alert you at the first sign of this. As I read this article printed by the South Bend Tribune, I sat in astonishment that a publisher would print such hate. By the end of the article, my stomach was tied in knots, and I was sick. It is time to sound the alarm... This is fair warning to all who call themselves Believers in Jesus Christ. If you don't get off the sidelines, get into the game, and get involved, you will lose whatever freedom we have left in America. Persecution is coming QUICKLY if we don't regain the ground we have lost. As my hero in the faith; Janet Folger has stated, "There is a war going on for the future of our country. Most people know that. What they may not know is that if Christians lose, the result won't be just public policy with which we disagree; it'll be a prison sentence for those who disagree."

Yes, we have the right to remain silent, but if we use it much longer, we may hear those words being read to us just before we see the inside of a prison cell. ~Janet Folger

This article was printed 11-26-07 in the South Bend Tribune.

No matter who becomes the next president of the United States, the American people have already won a great victory — with the total disintegration of the once all-powerful religious right.

Starting in 1979, when Jerry Falwell founded the Moral Majority, Christian conservatives have been the most powerful voting bloc in the Republican party. Ironically, they began by casting out of the White House a born-again Christian who continued, as president, his life-long practice of teaching Sunday school, and replacing him with a divorced and remarried man who seldom stepped inside a church.
But of course, Jimmy Carter was a Democrat and Ronald Reagan was a Republican. And by staying united, the religious right has been able ever since to exercise its veto power over Republican candidates and dictate the issues — abortion, same-sex marriage, stem cell research and school prayer — they would campaign on. Until, that is, the presidential campaign of 2008.
Today, the religious right has splintered into as many different factions as O. J. Simpson has alibis. Unable to find one candidate who fits the bill of being both true-blue on the issues and electable, America's ayatollahs have divided their loyalties. Indeed, in some cases, they've even declared war against each other.
The National Right to Life League has endorsed Fred Thompson, even though he opposes a constitutional amendment to ban Roe vs. Wade and admits he only goes to church when visiting his mother — while James Dobson says he's not even sure Thompson qualifies as a Christian. Sam Brownback has endorsed John McCain, who once called Jerry Falwell an “agent of intolerance.” And Bob Jones III and Moral Majority Co-Founder Paul Weyrich have even endorsed a Mormon, because they think Mitt Romney is the only one who can beat Hillary Clinton.
Meanwhile, Mike Huckabee, the only ordained Baptist minister in the race, is almost totally ignored by his fellow Christians because, even though Huckabee scores 100 percent on the issues, they don't think he has a snowball's chance in Hell of winning. Huckabee's only evangelical endorsement comes from Tim LaHaye, co-author of the “Left Behind” novels — which may be the appropriate title for Huckabee's campaign.
And, in one of the most bizarre pairings in politics, Pat Robertson, who blamed gays for Sept. 11 and prayed for a meteor to strike Disney World's gay pride parade, has endorsed Rudy Giuliani — perhaps because he's counting on Giuliani to assassinate Hugo Chavez. James Dobson has said he will never vote for Giuliani, even if it means staying home. But the fact remains that, with Robertson's help, the Republican party could very well nominate for president a candidate who is twice-divorced, thrice-married, pro-choice, pro-gay rights and an occasional cross-dresser.
Merely entertaining Giuliani as a candidate demonstrates that, for many conservatives, political power counts more than Christian values. The religious right is dead. It will never again exercise the political clout it once had — which is bad news for Republicans, but good news for the republic.
While in the long-term, some moderate Republicans might welcome relief from having to genuflect in front of the pro-life movement and Terri Schiavo, the short-term political impact for the Republican party is a disaster. Christian conservatives probably won't vote for a Democrat. They're more likely just to stay home. But the result's the same: Overnight, Republicans have lost their biggest and most loyal bloc of support. It's the political equivalent of Democrats' losing support of the unions.
But for Americans generally, the demise of the religious right is good news. It means tolerance is back. It means we don't have to worry so much about efforts to turn the United States into a Christian nation. It means “secular” is no longer a dirty word. It means politicians will be judged by more important issues than how many times they utter the God word in one sentence. It means the list of moral issues will expand from abortion and gay marriage to include health care, a living wage, global warming, pre-emptive war and torture. In short, the dying influence of Christian conservatives means that people of all faiths, or no faith at all, will feel comfortable participating in the political process — and not just those who subscribe to the narrow-minded, intolerant, mean-spirited brand of religion espoused by Dobson and Robertson. And for that we collectively pray: Thank you, Jesus.

Memo To Rep. Terri Austin: We’re Not Going to Forget Your vote on SJR 7
It’s organization day and for SJR 7 supporters, like myself, that means we’re looking forward to what will undoubtedly be a tough battle to let Hoosiers vote on SJR 7-the marriage amendment. Last year Speaker B. Patrick property-tax-decrease Bauer (D-South Bend) failed to uphold his promise to allow a floor vote on SJR 7. Bauer can try to deflect the responsiblity for this failure by pointing out that it was the Rules Committee that ultimately failed to send it to the floor. However, he assigned it to that committee and he could have instructed Rep. Scott Pelath (D-Michigan City), to do everything he could do as committee chair to make sure it got to the floor.
Furthermore, it was the critical swing vote of Rep. Terri Austin (D-Anderson) that let Hoosiers down and partially let Bauer off the hook. In 2005 Rep. Austin had no problem voting for SJR 7. She even pointed out in the 2006 campaign that she was a strong supporter of SJR 7. A few months after her re-election though, Austin, probably under a lot of pressure from her caucus (ie: Bauer and Pelath) buckled and voted against bringing SJR 7 to the floor of the House.
With an election looming next November, the American Family Assocation of IN PAC has put up a banner near a major intersection in Anderson reminding constituents of Rep. Austin’s failure to support SJR 7. While I can’t speak for others, I do know that if Austin does end up having the chance to vote on SJR 7 in committee and ends up being the swing vote that allows us to get a floor vote, marriage amendment supporters will reduce the pressure they have put on her.
Here’s the AFA-IN PAC Banner:

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://indianavoiceforthefamily.blogspot.com/2007/11/memo-to-rep-terri-austin-were-not-going.html' title='Memo To Rep. The District Court ruling was a landmark decision marking the first time a federal court had attempted to dictate the specific content of prayer in a state or federal legislative body.

Representative Jackie Walorski said, "This is a great day of victory in the State of Indiana and for the United States as well, that the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of uncensored prayers at the Indiana Statehouse. I am thankful to the thousands of people in our State that have fervently prayed for this ruling to be overturned and today, we are thankful that we can again openly pray in Jesus' name in our State. In our culture today, it is critical to protect individual freedom and freedom of expression, and this is a major victory!" For nearly 190 years, it has been the tradition of the Indiana House to allow clerics from many faiths to offer prayer before the House begins its business for the day. This tradition is also followed by Congress for over 200 years. This freedom, for individuals to offer prayers freely and in accordance with their own religious beliefs has been protected for generations as a free expression of speech and freedom of religious expression. The District Court that originally banned prayer ignored this tradition and sought to require the House Speaker to censor prayers. The Court of Appeals returned the case to the District Court with instructions to dismiss for want for jurisdiction.

Bush will veto ENDA, White House says.

The White House is warning that a pending piece of federal legislation to create new rights for homosexuals would push the boundaries on constitutionality, and President Bush's advisers will recommend a veto if it does come before him.The plan at issue is H.R. 3685.

read more | digg story

Ban on 'Mom' and 'Dad' sparks call for exodus

A call is being issued to Christians who have been engaged in the culture wars in California's schools to abandon the system, after Gov. The dilemma we face is that we have a conservative vote-split between some very good candidates and the only way we can win is if we unite. The question is whom to unite behind? Let's set up the ground rules: the one the values voters unite behind must be pro-life and pro-marriage. Not a particularly high standard, but a disqualifying one. Secondly, he needs to be able to win – which of course, happens when we unite behind him. That life/marriage disqualifier rules out: Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama: rabidly pro-abortion and anti-marriage. Duh. Mayor Rudy Giuliani: wants you to pay for child dismemberment with your tax dollars and is against the Marriage Protection Amendment – other than that, he's a nice guy. Gov. Mitt Romney: His position, perhaps best summarized by the question asked by Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth to an empty podium at the Values Voter Presidential debate: "Governor Romney, you are running as a pro-life, pro-marriage candidate, but you have a history of being strongly pro-abortion on demand and pro-homosexual. You supported Roe v. Wade and said abortion should be 'safe and legal.' In 2002, you opposed a state constitutional amendment that would have stopped homosexual so-called 'marriage' in Massachusetts. You said homosexuals should be allowed in the Boy Scouts of America, and as governor, you officially celebrated 'Gay-Straight Youth Pride Day.' You sat on Marriot's Board of Directors for 10 years while it profited off the sale of hard-core pornographic videos to its guests. Why should voters trust you after you spent so much of your career aggressively promoting anti-life and anti-family positions? Yesterday the White House announced that the President would veto any attempt to expand the federal "hate crimes" law--"even if it means sending the defense authorization bill back to Congress." Hoping to force the special rights measure through the Senate, Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) attached it to legislation that affects national security. We applaud President Bush for refusing to blink. After a concerted effort by FRC and a motivated coalition led by our good friend Bishop Harry Jackson, more churches are learning that the only way to broaden "hate crimes" is ultimately by treating crime victims inequitably and by limiting free speech and religious expression. The Senate is expected to take up "hate crimes" legislation when it returns next month.

Now is a great opportunity to call President Bush to thank him for his unwavering stand to veto this dangerous bill. You can call 202-456-1111. It asked the question, "How will America hand over our precious freedom when we have been blessed with it for all of these years?" The answer? Our children. This age and agenda want our children. If they have our children, they have our freedom. A Trojan horse has now entered our schools. We didn't even know it was there. It is full of ideas, and agenda's that have now let loose on our children. This email below is haunting to me. It is time we take action, and take our schools back.

July 31, 2007
NEA begins massive drive to promote homosexuality in public schools
Is it time for a school voucher program?Without allowing members to vote on the matter, the executive committee of the National Education Association (NEA) decided to advance aggressively the homosexual agenda. The decision was made at the association's annual meeting in Philadelphia.
First, the committee voted to put the weight of the NEA behind an effort to pass federal hate crimes legislation, a measure that would greatly expand federal power and lead to the silencing of moral opposition.
Second, the executive committee voted to boost the NEA's Web site to "include all resources" devoted to homosexual causes.
The third resolution urged NEA members to push to make sexual orientation training a requirement for earning a license to teach.
They continued their financial support of homosexual groups. Click here for report from OneNewsNow.com. Click here for the report of the NEA Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender Caucus.
It matters little to the NEA that Johnny may be unable to read and write, as long as he learns to support same-sex marriage.
Take Action
Given the opportunity, would you favor giving a voucher to students, allowing them to choose the school of their choice? There's a big event coming up and you need to be a part of how it's going to re-shape America. What: The GOP Values Voters Presidential Debate When: Sept. 17, 2007 Where: Fort Lauderdale, Fla. We've heard the questions from talking snowmen. We've gotten the crumbs that fell from Chris Matthews. Now it's our turn. It's time the candidates answer questions from the largest voting block in America: the values voters. Yes, the values voters. Even with two-thirds (19 million) of the evangelical Christian eligible voters sitting on the bench in the last presidential election, we "values voters" still made up the largest voting block in the country. There's no debating that. Doesn't matter how fringe or extreme the media tries to portray us – according to the National Election Pool exit poll, in 2004 the evangelical vote constituted 36 percent (over a third) of Bush's voters – up 10 percent from 2000. State Representative Terri Austin did a 360 and voted against marriage, quite contrary to her promise to her voters.

All eyes were on Ohio yesterday, as both sides of the marriage debate held their breaths for a ruling on a domestic violence statute that some have argued might run afoul of the new state marriage amendment. A man accused of assaulting his live-in girlfriend had argued that he couldn't be charged with domestic violence because the state's marriage amendment bars Ohio from "assigning legal status to unmarried couples." The state supreme court disagreed, ruling 6-1 that the domestic violence law's protections are available to victims of criminal acts regardless of their legal status. Fortunately, the decision was a victory in both protecting people from domestic violence and upholding the state's marriage amendment. It may also save other states from similar suits, as same-sex activists planned to use this loophole as grounds to question the wisdom of other amendments. You may remember that in Indiana earlier this year state Rep. Terri Austin (D) used the same rationale to single-handedly sabotage a vote on a marriage amendment. She switched sides at the 11th hour, citing concern that a vote for marriage was a vote to weaken the state's domestic violence laws. Now that a state supreme court has proved her wrong, we urge Austin to change course and, most importantly, fulfill her promise to protect marriage as she vowed to do in the first place.

It's time we DEMAND that the Indiana Legislators put marriage first, and bring SJR7 to the floor for a FULL VOTE, and take it to the people!

Bauer Playing Politics with our Families

Who will stand up for our families? Who will be willing to go against the political "PC" and listen to the family's begging for some tax relief? After Representative Walorski's decision to go against the flow of even her own party, Speaker Patrick Bauer decided to repsond to her leadership with the following...

"But Speaker B. This is imoral, and to me... criminal for those who have worked hard to pay thier mortgage, to loose their homes to the Government if they can't pay the piper. Things need to change quickly... and Mr. Bauer I have news for you. THERE IS A SOLUTION. There is a permenant solution if you take your political hat off, and work together. It is time to stop passing blame, and start responding to our families. It has been reported that Representative Walorski's drive for signatures for Property tax reform is bringing over 100 signatures an hour. Anantanand Rambachan, who has taught religion and philosophy at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., since 1985, now will become the first non-Christian to head the religion department in the school's 133-year history. "It's a great honor," Rambachan, a leading figure in Minnesota's Hindu community, told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. But in an interview with Hinduism Today, he wrote of participating in the Pontifical Council in Rome in 2006. "Last year we met in Rome in a joint consultation with the World Council of Churches to discuss conversion. This was the first meeting of a three-year project to study the issue and to develop an acceptable code of conduct. Certain forms of Christian proselytization have given rise to tension and even violence between some religious communities," he said. "We gathered to share our perspectives on this matter and to consider acceptable and unacceptable ways of sharing our faiths in communities.

read more | digg story

China exports lead poisoning

From eye shadow to glazed pottery, products pose danger to U.S. kids

read more | digg story

I'm suing gayHarmony

This column is a down and dirty look at where we came from, where we are, and where we are going.I'm suing gayHarmony for discrimination. That's right. Because without having checked, I'm certain there isn't a single homosexual site or publication that offers what I'm looking for: A heterosexual pro-life Christian who likes long walks on the beach and wants to help fight unequal justice mandated in the speech-restricting "hate crimes" bill. Those bigoted heterophobes. Before you call the thought police, I don't really think the homosexual publications should be forced to cater to me. But unfortunately, that tolerance is not reciprocated. Lesbian Linda Carlson of San Francisco is suing eHarmony because she can't find a date. They don't offer a category for "lesbian bullies seeking women," so she wants to bully eHarmony until they do. My advice to eHarmony: Stand strong for your freedom of conscience or you'll invite a whole new batch of lawsuits from: The Mary Kay LeTerneau's of the world because there's no "teachers seeking students" category; The Pete the Pedophiles – for age discrimination (no "men seeking children" category); Chris the Cross Dresser – because there's no category for cross dressers (and whatever they seek), leading people online to believe that he's just a very ugly woman. Our next category is attacking private business owners. That's nothing new for the homosexual activists. Scott Brockie was fined because he didn't want to print homosexual propaganda; he's $170,000 in debt for his religious beliefs.

read more | digg story

I.R.S. to Church, Shut Up.,

This is a story about I.R.S. jack booted thugs with the power of the U.S. Government trying to intimidate a church minding it's business. A Christian church in Kansas has told the Internal Revenue Service that it will not stop teaching and preaching God's Word, "even if it relates to contemporary issues in the world," after the federal agency demanded answers to 31 questions about its beliefs and warned about "political" activity. Spirit One Christian Center Pastor Mark Holick told WND that the IRS, perhaps, should brush up on the freedoms assured U.S. citizens regarding religion and speech before making such demands in the future. An announcement about the IRS crackdown on moral statements by the church He said the issues the church addressed – and will continue to address – concern issues that the Bible addresses, such as killing and protecting the defenseless. The response came to a series of questions from the IRS questioning whether the church was involved in "political" activity. In specific, Holick said, the IRS cited a sign that read: "Sebelius accepted $300,000.00 from abortionist Tiller, price of 1000 babies." But that, he said, was just part of a responsibility on the part of a Christian church to comment on abortion, a red-hot topic in the church's home city of Wichita. That's also the location of the abortion business of George Tiller, whose political connections in Kansas have been documented by Operation Rescue, a pro-life organization, and reported by WND.

read more | digg story

The real hate speech

Janet Folger exposes the truth about hate crimes. There are lots of stories about this floating around the internet, but not nearly enough concern.President Bush has signed an executive order granting extraordinary powers to the office of the president in the event of a declared national emergency, apparently without congressional approval or oversight. The order was signed May 9 without any announcement, says Jerome R. Corsi in a WND column. Titled, "National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive," it was issued with the dual designation of NSPD-51, as a National Security Presidential Directive, and HSPD-20, as a Homeland Security Presidential Directive. The order establishes under the office of the president a new national continuity coordinator whose job is to make plans for "National Essential Functions" of all federal, state, local, territorial and tribal governments, as well as private sector organizations to continue functioning under the president's directives in the event of a national emergency. "Catastrophic emergency" is loosely defined as "any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions."

read more | digg story

Old Mitt, new Mitt, red Mitt, blue Mitt

While Rudy Giuliani cheers and John McCain smiles next to Sen. The homosexual lobby and those in power in the U.S. House of Representatives made a mistake. They made a strategic error that cost them greatly. Oh, don't get me wrong; the liberal Democrats did a good job (teaming up with the media) convincing 19 million Christians to stay home last November. They did a good job pretending that stupid move would send some kind of "message" to Congress. All it did was hand the reigns of power to people who hate us and want to outlaw our beliefs. Their deception worked. But what didn't work is ... their pride. What they don't know is that pride isn't a parade; rather, pride goeth before a fall. One couldn't miss the arrogance of those in power at the congressional hearing on hate crimes. John Conyers, Sheila Jackson Lee and their cohorts treated witnesses like Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute and those who stood for freedom of speech with disdain. The Democrats didn't even pretend to run things in an even-handed way. Stacking their witnesses while limiting ours, they grandstanded their agenda, gavel in hand. They had the votes. They had the power. And they were going to flaunt it. Color me surprised.

read more | digg story

Time for a Revolution; Families taking back our Country!

This recent Declaration from Poland Caught my eye. By the end of the document, I could not sit as I read the words! We need a Revolution, and we need one quickly. In my 32 years, enjoying the Freedoms of this blessed nation, I wonder to myself... "How could we hand over our freedoms and keys to our families. Then it hit me. They take our freedom through our children. [1]
The natural family, creation of God, is the fundamental human community, based on the life long marriage between a man and a woman, in which new individuals are conceived, born, and raised. [2]
"The future of humanity passes by way of the family" [3] and "there is no more efficient way for the rebirth of the society than its rebirth through healthy families" [4] that are faithful to their conjugal and parental vocations.
Such families bring to the world today:
Faithfulness to the Divine Truth versus relativism;
Real love, being the complete and impartial gift of oneself versus hedonism;
Faithfulness in love throughout life versus lack of responsibility toward those closest to us;
Respect for the life of every human being from conception to natural death versus discrimination against and extermination of the weakest;
Joyful responsibility for every child-to-be, versus fear of the child expressed in the contraceptive mentality;
A moral community in which young generations can grow versus false ideologies propagating demoralization;
And, last but not least, the "springtime" of a civilization of love and life versus "demographic winter."
We are thankful for all religious communities which affirm these truths. Meeting in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, the motherland of Pope John Paul II, we especially thank God for this Pope's teachings about the Divine Intention towards marriage and family, love within families, and the protection of life, and for his prayers and suffering offered toward those ends.
And we thank his successor, Pope Benedict XVI, who continues to witness to the Truth about life and the family.
We thank all of those who serve the family and protect it.
We thank every caring family as a real sign of hope in the modern world.
We thank all spouses, fathers, and mothers who keep on loving and caring for each child.
We therefore call for:
Churches and other Religious Communities to proclaim the truth about life, marriage, and the family, affirming the latter as the first community of faith and the school of all vocations.
We call for all governing and political bodies to mainstream the family in public policy as a fundamental and inalienable social good, in order to serve their own nations. We call on them to protect every human being from conception to natural death, to stress the upbringing of children as the fundamental right of parents, to protect young people against demoralization, and to promote economic solutions that provide dignified living conditions to all families. Let the sequel to this call be to proclaim the year 2008 - the Year of the Family.
We call for all academics of good will to place their knowledge at the service of the family.
We ask health professionals to uphold freedom of conscience and to faithfully safeguard human life, especially when it is weakest and most threatened.
We ask journalists to serve the truth, to remain objective, to reveal the real threats and needs of the family, and to offer young people positive values which build sustainable human development.
We ask young people to seek wisdom, to choose life, to preserve their hearts and body, and to grow with a focus on truth and faithful love. We ask all people of good will to be at one with families and to help them restore hope and bring concrete assistance when difficulties occur. Let us pour special friendship on parents who love their children.
And finally, we who are gathered at the World Congress of Families IV call upon all families in the world to: "Be not afraid!" Let us be as one! Let us be the sign of hope! The fourth World Congress of Families concluded in Poland's capital today after some of the more than 3,300 delegates from 75 countries heard an address prepared by the Vatican's Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, president of the Pontifical Council for the Family, who warned "the situation that has been created in our world with regard to marriage and the family calls for all our efforts." "We are living in a decisive and very important moment," Trujillo declared in remarks delivered by Fr. Grzegorz Kaszak because the Vatican official was called back to Rome. "If we have bad laws concerning the institutions that are fundamental for the life of society, then we will all suffer and, after us, the generations to come." That's why more than 30 members of national parliaments and the European Parliament, along with a few activists from nongovernmental groups, met Saturday at Poland's Senate to compare notes, share strategies and draft a plan to help preserve the "natural" family. That would be Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corp., which, in addition to building a media empire on the chests of topless models and edgy, pushing-the-envelope Fox TV network shows, recently began building a stable of hard-core porn channels for its BSkyB subsidiary. "Rupert Murdoch is a born-again Christian and Rick Warren claims to be his pastor," says Chris Rosebrough, head of the Christian Accountability Network. "As a Christian, Murdoch is committing an egregious sin by owning, expanding and profiting from pornographic channels, and Rick Warren, his pastor, has a biblical duty to call Murdoch to repentance and/or put him out of the church."

read more | digg story

ABC News ... all the Fiction fit to print.

Back in the days when I ran major-market daily newspapers for a living, I remember looking around a newsroom of around 200 people and coming to a startling conclusion. I knew these people pretty well. I worked with them every day. And it occurred to me that I was the only one who regularly attended church, worshipped God, prayed and read the Bible. Not much has changed in America's newsrooms since then, I explain in my new book, "Stop The Presses! The Inside Story of the New Media Revolution." Maybe the situation is even a little worse. I give you this background as a prelude to a story about evangelicals reported last week by ABC News. Now I've been an evangelical for a long time, so you can imagine my surprise to learn that until recently my fellow believers did not support adoption! I'm shocked. I'm appalled. I'm stunned. That's what ABC News reported. "Now there are evangelicals speaking out on global warming and supporting adoption," reported Bill Redeker. "Neither would have been endorsed only a few years ago." Where on Earth did ABC News ever come up with the idea that evangelicals did not support adoption? If not Earth, which planet?

read more | digg story

Hello, Just wanted to chat with someone about how you can influence an elected official.

My personal experience has been that a personal letter, phone call, or a visit to the state house to voice your opinion about a bill. Locally, you can help in other ways.

I did not get involved until I was asked. I started by volunteering to help with a campaign, phone calls, posting signs, then I asked the elected official who was running, "who is praying for you?" and that started our Friday morning prayer times.

I would love to talk to someone about the results, and how exciting it was to see God answer prayer.

US and EU integration?

President Bush signed an agreement creating a "permanent body" that commits the U.S. to "deeper transatlantic economic integration," without ratification by the Senate as a treaty or passage by Congress as a law. The "Transatlantic Economic Integration" between the U.S. and the European Union was signed April 30 at the White House by Bush, German Chancellor Angela Merkel – the current president of the European Council – and European Commission President José Manuel Barroso. The document acknowledges "the transatlantic economy remains at the forefront of globalization," arguing that the U.S. and the European Union "seek to strengthen transatlantic economic integration." The agreement established a new Transatlantic Economic Council to be chaired on the U.S. side by a cabinet-level officer in the White House and on the EU side by a member of the European Commission. The current U.S. head of the new Transatlantic Economic Council is Allan Hubbard, assistant to the president for Economic Policy and director of the National Economic Council. The current EU head of the council is Günther Verheugen, vice-President of the European Commission in charge of enterprise and industry.

read more | digg story

Will the Real Ronald Reagan Please stand up

Ronald Reagan.
